The Skinny On Food Labels
Ok, so we have all been at the store and seen all the low calorie, low fat, low cholesterol, light, sugar free packaging at the store. What does this all mean?
What Thin Women Know --- By Valerie Frankel
Fellow AOP teammate Emerald found the below article in the April 2009 issue of Good Housekeeping. Thanks Emerald!!!
Meet Shane Countryman, my Personal Fitness Guru
Shane and I are cousins. But it's really closer than that. Shane, his brother Chase and I grew up separated by only a moderate sized field with a small cottage between us. With us being relatively close in age, we grew up together. Our summer days started usually with a short Nintendo session, some G.I. Joe battles, then a swim in the lake. After the swim, it was whatever sport was in season at the time, or the old fallback, basketball.

AoP Guru Shane Countryman, Round 2
I cornered our good friend Shane for another interview, picking up where the last one left off. My questions are in bold, his responses in regular text. I hope you find this helpful. I'd also like to thank Shane again for his time.
Some stretching info
I came across this link while searching for the piriformis stretch. It's got some great stretches for the runners, and just in general.
AoP vs. The Great Race 2010 - Our Teams for the Race
Today is Friday, August 6th. 2 Days until Race day. It's been a helluva ride so far. AoP will be putting two teams into the race. Team McKinley (tag# 550) consists of Amy, Kathy L*, and Tara W*. Team Everest (tag# 551) is Steph, Drew, and Jason. Hoyt unfortunately is still rehabbing from a really nasty looking leg injury, so he's out for this year.
So I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce Kathy L and Tara W as members of the AoP Auxiliary. They're taking up spots for us so that we can have our two full teams.
