Meeting Minutes - Jan 25, 2010
AOP Meeting
January 25, 2010 at 7 pm at Maureen’s House
In Attendance: Maureen, Hoyt, Steph, Drew, Jason & Amy
Sponsorship - Jason sent an email to Dr. Moochler regarding possible team sponsorship and is awaiting a response.
Sledding on January 30, 2010 - In the event of no snow, we’ll have kickball as an alternative.
Mid-Winter Blues Race at Beaver Lake Nature Center on February 7, 2010 - Walkers will be allowed. They have not reached the 100 person limit for t-shirts, so if we pre-register now we should be able to get them. Cost is $17 for pre-registration, $20 on event day.
YMCA Dodgeball League - We discussed having a team and were quite excited about it until we learned it’s on Friday Nights from 6:45 - 9pm, which doesn’t work for many of us. So we scrapped that idea.
Community Service - The group should seriously consider doing some.
- Adopt a Highway is free. They even put up the sign. You just have to clean it 4x per year, 2 year contract. Contact Curt Clark in Syracuse.
- Food Pantry Duty
- Easter Dinners at the Salvation Army, if they do them
Card Night - We will start playing cards after the meetings. Next meeting is at Hoyt’s and he picked Pitch. The following meeting is at Countryman’s and Amy wants to play Euchre.
Fundraiser Idea - Casino Night. Hoyt has offered his basement, if we decide to do it.
AOP Fun Outing - The Turning Stone. Consider it. Stephanie will get a list of upcoming events there.
Workout Plans - Jason wants everyone to come up with a workout plan. Longterm or shortterm. It will be posted to everyone’s profile on the site. We need to focus on seriously getting ready for the race in August.
Amy, Maureen and Stephanie will meet on M,W,F at rotating houses to play Wii Active, Wii Fit and workout to various tapes. This Wednesday will be at Stephanie’s house at 6:30. Everyone should bring their Wii Active equipment, a Wiimote and Nunchuck.
Jason, Hoyt and possibly Drew discussed meeting to lift weights after work. The secretary apologizes for missing the details as she was discussing belly dancing as a workout regime.
