King of the Hill (No, Not That One)
As with most things in my life, my brain, over packed to the brim with impossibily nerdy things like Star Wars/Trek trivia, a complete working knowledge of WoW (even though I haven't played in a couple of years), and other such things, attaches a Simpsons, Family Guy or Futurama quote to nearly everything I do. Failing that, I can always fall back on "that's what she said"...and often do.
It's the food police! Put down the cookies!
So, I admit, I've fallen off the wagon lately. Hell...I probably would have eaten the wagon, if it were made out of delicious food instead of wood. I'm not *that* fat. I've stopped walking, but thats really more of a function of the fact that it hasn't stopped snowing for more than 45 minutes in a week than a lack of desire to continue chasing that SOB Scott around downtown Auburn twice a day.
We need the funk, we gotta have that funk...
Last couple of weeks, I slipped into one of my typical funks. Usually happens about the time it gets cold. I hope it gets better. I'm sure it will.
Thoughts after a couple of weeks...
So, I've been at this for a couple of weeks now.
I have no idea what my starting weight was. I have no idea what it is now. Lower I hope. I feel like it's lower. I should probably buy a scale one of these days.
First Post
For a fat guy I know a lot about nutrition. My problem has always been not particularly what I eat, but that I don't particularly like to exercise, and I like to eat. That and frequent relapses into McDonalds addictions...but I digress. Here's a fun article from Micheal Pollan, a food writer who has written some very good books, including In Defense of Food, which is really the bible of what should be an effort to do w
