Celebrate Every Little Thing
It’s been an eventful week. I stuck to my sensible eating plan. I increased my exercise. I’ve drunk enough water to rehydrate the Sahara. And I’ve been fairly happy and upbeat while doing it all.

The Battle of Salmon Run
I like meat.
Beef, chicken, pork, beef, bacon, beef, all of these things are an active part of my diet. My affinity for them makes it hard for me to write a menu that is healthy. My main problem is my complete and total hatred of fish. Fish seems to be the foundation of every healthy diet. This is a problem for me.
Watermelon Salad
This dish is so refreshing and good! The ingredients might surprise you, but trust me, this is incredible!!! I first had this at Jessica Brigden's house (my Stampin' Up dealer :) and she said she got the recipe from a Wegman's Menu magazine. Everyone who has tried it has been pleasantly surprised and EVERYONE goes back for seconds. Plus, could this get any easier?

I had my yearly physical yesterday. The scale at the doctor's office had me, fully clothed, at 351 pounds. 351! That's pretty amazing for me. I'm not going to use that as my current, in-progress weight, though. I'm going to stick with my scale, acting as sort of a 'control' group. That scale has me at 354.
Welcome September!
In my last blog I mentioned Step 1 was Just Try. I'm currently at Step 0.5 because I'm not trying hard enough. Somedays not even trying at all. We all know this isn't easy, but at times it's like I'm going out of my way to make it even more difficult for myself.
